We used the best materials to make this leather MOUNTAINBACK® tote wrapped in canvas. From sturdy 24 oz. waxed canvas from Scotland, full-grain tumbled leather, UV-resistant polyester thread, and copper rivets pounded by hand.

The interior is completely lined with full-grain Dark Coffee Brown tumbled leather. We wrapped that in weatherproof waxed canvas. That means the canvas can receive water on the surface but not soak in. The tote is sewn together with thick marine-grade polyester thread (the kind they use on ship sails), and hand-hammered copper rivets for reinforcement anywhere the canvas tote gets much stress. This is how we can offer a 100-year warranty on a canvas tote.

Two pieces of leather overlap at the bottom of the bag and are not sewn together to give you a hidden compartment between the tumbled leather and weatherproof canvas. So hide your cash, passport, or whatever else you have in mind. 

Handle at the Bottom of the Canvas Tote Bag

Inside the bottom of the canvas tote, there’s a leather handle for pulling the tumbled leather liner out when you need to empty out your tote. It's super handy.
